Clara "Tutter" Sutton Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

On February 29, 1936, Clara Sutton was born to Jack and Ellie Colbert in Independence, Texas. Clara, better known as “Tutter” attended and graduated from Pickard High in Brenham, Texas. She was blessed with many talents and had different jobs throughout her life. Clara met and married the late Johnny Sutton. She was blessed with a giving heart and will be remembered for her loving spirit. Clara is preceded in death by her parents: Jack Colbert and Ellie Colbert Richards; her spouse: Johnny Sutton; her sisters: Ella Hines, and Cewilla Walker; her brother: Warren Colbert Sr., and her brothers-in-law: Ruben Hines and Rev. Bennie Lee Walker. Clara leaves to cherish her memories: David Ensley and Hazel Jingle who she mothered; goddaughters: Stephanie Roberts, and Clara Walker; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Clara answered the call of the Lord and traded her earthly life for the riches of Heaven on Wednesday, July 8, 2020. The Family of Ms. Clara Sutton would like to express their sincerest thanks and appreciation for the many friends and family who have been so kind in expressions of love and sympathy.
